The cast of six talented performers last weekend breezed through a cavalcade of hit tunes from such popular musicals as Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins, and Aladdin. On closing night, they close out with an impressive selection of songs from Frozen.
One of the original Disney-approved shows, A Year With Frog and Toad, is coming to Chicago for just the second time. Hot off the heels of last year’s hit, The Cabot Theatre is bringing back their production of ‘To All the World’s Children.’ This time around, they’ve created a more immersive set that captures its audiences imagination. It’s cozy, pleasant, and inviting as its cast greets each other warmly while juggling gifts in this joyous musical. Between an inviting fireplace and a wide staircase to accommodate singers up on stage, there is plenty of scenic moments during the performance when the gorgeous instrumentation can be plainly seen.
